What is there to see in Phoenix?

Since we’re planning our trip we thought we’d share some of our research on inspiring activities you wouldn’t want miss out on while in Phoenix.

Let Nature Inspire you Through her Resiliency

Phoenix is home to an impressive desert botanical garden. As Canadians, we’re used to living in lush forests, so we’re curious to learn how the local plant life adapted to extreme temperatures and lack of water. During the NGCX the live butterfly exhibition will also be available.

A Different Perspective

The Heard Museum is dedicated to the advancement of American Indian art. Among other priceless artifacts, they have a unique collection of Hopi Kachina dolls.

If you arrive before NGCX starts, you can get your hands on some unique student art and encourage the local community in their American Indian Student Art Show and Sale.

Trendy Downtown Phoenix

Roosevelt Row is Phoenix’s trendy downtown neighborhood. It is home to vibrant street art which made it famous nation-wide when USA Today included it in its top 10 art districts. The nightlife promises to be a blast too! Beat your old Pacman high-score at the Arcade bar or drink B-movie inspired cocktail at Bitter & Twisted.

Hope to see you there!
