Customer experience app Keatext joins FounderFuel

Narjes and I were leaving the office after a long day when we got the phone call From Sylvain Carle at FounderFuel: “We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into our Spring Cohort,” he said.

I’ll never forget the sounds of excitement that followed that phone call. We all knew that working with FounderFuel was going to be a really great opportunity for the Keatext team.

FounderFuel, run by Real Ventures, is a thirteen week ‘startup bootcamp’ that includes workshops, office hours, and the unique opportunity to work closely with successful mentors who understand what growth is all about. The training is grueling, and throughout the program founders often experience what Sylvain Carle describes as “identity crises, co-founder issues, profound customer development and validation, and sudden changes in go to market strategy. The Keatext team was no exception. FounderFuel forced us to get out of our comfort zones and encouraged us to think of our company’s mission, vision and goals in whole new way.

The thirteen week training program culminates into a Demo Day, where the startups get to present all their hard work and showcase their business’ vision in front of 1000+ community members and investors. As Carle explains it, “the FounderFuel Demo Day ritual puts a shining light, literally, on some of the most promising entrepreneurs in Canada….it is a truly amazing moment.”

From day one, Keatext co-founders Narjes & Charles Olivier dedicated 200% to the FounderFuel program. They put in long hours, attending countless meetings and scheduling late night brainstorming sessions – all while running a company. No easy task. Despite total exhaustion, all the hard work paid off and we saw that on Demo Day.
